This panel will explore how cinematographers can elevate their careers through strategic use of film festivals, industry press, professional representation, collaboration with vendors, and self-promotion. With insights from industry experts, publicists, and agents, the session will cover how festivals and media can amplify the work of cinematographers and contribute to industry recognition. Attendees will gain practical advice on how to manage their personal brand, increase visibility in the industry, and take full advantage of media, trade shows and festival platforms to showcase their talent.

Francesca Zerenghi - Publicist

Her expertise spans Talent Publicity, Networking, Panels & Masterclasses, and Reputation Strategy, supported by a strong background in press and film festivals. She is the Founder and former Editor-in-Chief of Cinegirl, a publication spotlighting diverse talent in the screen industries.

Francesca has moderated panels at events such as Camerimage, EuroCine, and the BFI, and regularly delivers talks and masterclasses on career strategy, industry access, and inclusion. She also contributes to best practices in higher education and professional development with a focus on equity and creative empowerment.

Lucy Price - Managing Director & Agent

Barnaby Laws - Managing Partner at WPA UK

Barnaby is founder and MD of the UK office of WPA - and international talent agency for cinematographers, production designers, editors, producers and other production talent

Having spent time at Panalux growing a reputation in the commercial and music video space as an approachable and flexible contact for lighting hire, he was asked to open an office for WPA in London. Growing from a single UK agent WPA has grown to become one of the largest agencies in the UK servicing a worldwide roster of exception talent backed up by a team that really supports their growth, and the productions that hire them.

Rachel Clark, BSC - Cinematographer

Rachel is a Cinematographer from the North East of England based in London, UK.

She worked in the Camera Department for many years, working her way up through the ranks from Camera Trainee to Operator, and now Cinematographer.

She has worked across short films, documentaries, low budget British Independent features to multi million dollar Hollywood movies.

She was nominated for a BAFTA in 2023 for her work on the single drama I AM RUTH starring Kate Winslet and Directed by Dominic Savage and in 2024 she was nominated in the Debut Feature Competition at Camerimage Festival for the feature ‘Edge of Summer’

Vika Safrigna - Panel Moderator

With over 25 years of experience in advertising, brand development, events, client relations, and publicity, Vika has specialized in motion picture and broadcast technology. Her work has been instrumental in bridging the gap between cinematographers and cutting-edge technology, notably through her role at Lewis Communications and Leitz Cine.

A founding member of the Women in Cinematography Collective, she has been a strong advocate for equity in the film industry. She played a pivotal role in launching a global petition calling for greater representation of women at the Camerimage Film Festival, sparking an international conversation on the subject.
